Why is moving house sooo dramatic?
Everything needs to be wrapped, boxes need tape - oop we're out of tape, utilities need to be switched over, blahblahblahblah...
But I must say, after an international move, simply going from a one-bedroom flat to a two-bedroom flat doesn't feel so bad.
Yet none of it is 'fun'. However, I try to make it a bit fun with how it gets done. Fun food, fun movies, fun little breaks, that kind of thing.
This is my secret to making the process go a lot more smoothly.
I'm telling ya, there's nothing like frozen pizza, a couple of beers (yes, I drink beer now. I... I don't know either. This country has changed me in many mysterious ways), and a Disney movie. Preferably a lineup of favorites. Our go-to classics? Might I suggest the severely underrated Hercules, Hunchback, Pocahontas, and Robin Hood? They need some love.
I'm also 100 pages away from finishing Iron Flame and it's my goal to have it finished before we move on Wednesday. So if I squeeze in a few pages between each box I fill up, I think I'll be able to do it. My fellow readers will relate to this.
A little bonus is still having our Christmas tree up. Yes, it's late February. No, you cannot judge us.
We figured that it was gonna stay up until the end of January anyway - we're serious Christmas people - so why not have it give us a bit more joy as we pack everything?
See. Now you can't judge us. Because you can't judge happy people. You just can't. IYKYK
If you need me, you can find me deep in a pile of cardboard and books or by simply avoiding responsibilities by posting vids on TikTok again (surprise!)
So please, send help. Just kidding. Unless...
